Doc To Dads: Step It Up!

Dr. Russell Saunders is calling us out. He’s a pediatrician on the battle lines, and he doesn’t like what he  sees. Some of us Dads are not carrying our weight when it comes to being aware of the health of our kids.

That’s tough medicine to take, but deep in my heart of hearts, I fear he’s right. In fact, in my case, I know he is. I’m somewhat guilty of the condition he describes in this Daily Beast article. 

While my wife can cite you chapter and verse regarding our two sons’ immunization records, I would have to call your attention to that squrrell outside the window. 

Dr. Saunders, while very astutely tossing in his caveats and disclaimers, makes a valid point; division of labor be damned, us Dads need to step up our game. I’m going to make it a point to do so ASAP.
